Interior Design: Dorado Court

Our personal 1990s builder-grade kitchen was lacking both function and character. For the redesign, we drew inspiration from classic English terrace homes, using color and thoughtful details to bring architectural warmth into the compact footprint. We built the color palette around striking quartzite slabs featuring deep blue veining. To accentuate the tone and movement in the stone, we paired them with custom cabinetry in a soft blue-green hue. We extended the cabinets to the ceiling to visually expand the room and maximize storage, and replaced the old peninsula with a custom, multifunctional island that is the new heart of the home. The result is a welcoming, character-filled kitchen that feels open, airy, and perfectly tailored for everyday living.
